The day after Thanksgiving, we packed up the car and headed to Branson.
On the way, we stopped in Gentry, AR at the Wild Wilderness Safari. We love this place!
When we got to Branson, we checked into our hotel, changed into warmer clothes and made our way to Silver Dollar City to watch the Christmas Parade.
It was amazing! The parade isn't very long at all but that didn't matter. EVERYTHING is in lights and is just magical.
It was FREEZING cold but we didn't care! It was so pretty! And right after the parade, the park cleared out and we pretty much had all the rides to ourselves! Even Cooper was big enough to ride most of them!
The next morning, we slept in a little and then got all bundled up and headed back to the park. It was definitely cold, but the smell of hot cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate and kettle corn was so yummy that we didn't even notice. Every single thing at the park is decked out in Christmas. It feels like you are right in the middle of the North Pole!
The kids had a blast riding all of the rides. And since an adult had to ride a lot of the rides with them and another adult had to stay with Cooper, I got stuck getting the motion sickness!
We loved everything about this trip and will for sure be doing it again next year. Hopefully it will be a little warmer next time!
