Tupperware, silly faces, and messy babies

C&C LOVE to play with the Tupperware. And I let them. At first I was completely against letting them get into any of the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen. But I quickly realized that I had no choice but to let them play with the Tupperware if I wanted to get anything done in the kitchen. I actually introduced them to the Tupperware instead of them just finding it. They pretty much know what cabinets and drawers they're allowed to get into and which ones they aren't. So of course they are still drawn to the ones they aren't supposed to be in but they always back away when we tell them no. The main purpose of Tupperware is to put it on your head, right?

These were the only pictures I could get of him facing me because now that he knows how to walk, I usually just get pictures like this:

And this:

I can't believe I have 2 walkers now! They still play with the walkers but not as often, only when they need to make a quick get away or if we are playing tag with each other. I will tell Chloe to "go get bubba!" and she will go after him and he will run (walk really wobbly and fast usually with the help of the walker) and giggle and when she gets to him she tickles him and looks to see if I saw her.

This is what Chloe did when I told her to say cheese...

She has been slobbering so much lately, but still no top teeth.  I know they HAVE to be coming soon!

We had spaghetti last night for dinner and C&C loved it. Chloe ate one noodle at a time.

And Connor grabbed hand fulls and shoved them into his mouth with about half of it falling into his lap.

And when one stops to take a drink, the other one has to take a drink too.

Cheeeese!

She's so silly.

First time to play in the snow

It snowed all day yesterday and all I kept thinking about when I was sitting in my office watching out my window was that I couldn't wait to get C&C home to play in the snow! It's not their first snow. I think it snowed a little bit shortly after they were born and a few months ago we had some snow flakes but nothing stuck to the ground. But this was their first time to be outside in it and touch it.

Connor is almost walking full time now so he just wanted to walk around in it.

Chloe wanted to touch it and she thought her mittens were funny.

We didn't spend too much time out there because Connor fell down and his pants were soaking wet and cold and David was gone so it was hard to juggle 2 babies trying to walk in the snow and take pictures (and video).

13 months!

Another month has flown by and C&C are 13 months old!

Connor is walking more and more (without his walker) and I know it won't be long until they are both running around the house. He's really cautious when he does walk on his own and I think he has gotten a few too many bruises on his hands for him to want to fall any more.

He loves opening and closing doors, drawers, and cabinets.
He loves cars and pretty much anything with wheels.
He still loves to growl and blow bubbles when he's being silly.
He dances by moving side to side when he's in his high chair eating.
He grins all the time.
He loves to brush his teeth.
He likes to have his shoes put on.
He loves to feel different textures, mainly soft things like fleece blankets.
He loves milk, apple juice, bananas, oatmeal, carrots, cheerios, ham, french fries, corn dogs, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, chicken, tator tots, and pretty much anything we put in front of him. He's a really good eater except when it comes to a few veggies.
He loves climbing the stairs and it getting really good and going down the stairs backwards.

My favorite thing he is doing right now is when he stops playing and comes and crawls up in my lap to watch cartoons. And I REALLY love it when they both want up in my lap together.

Chloe is walking everywhere all the time now. She doesn't even really need this walker but I guess she can go faster with it and if Connor has one then she needs one too. She is pretty clumsy though and also has bruises on her hands from falling a lot. She also currently has a bruise on her face from falling at day care.

She is big helper. She likes to put the toys up and she is always bringing me something, blocks, cheerios, wipes, diapers, babies, books, balls.
She loves throwing away her diapers and even Connor's diapers. The other day, I had Connor on the couch changing him and I set his dirty diaper on the ottoman while I was putting a clean one on him and getting him dressed and when I looked up, she had already taken off to go throw his diaper away. She even opens and closes the trash can by herself.
She is doing this pointing thing that I think is so funny. When she sees someone she knows like me or David, she points at us and smiles. When her cartoons come on she points at the tv. She points at everything.
She is really good at shaking her head "no". But this weekend, my dad taught her how to nod her head yes and it's so funny. She will start to shake her head no and when I say "yes", she will stop and slowly nod her head yes, in slow motion.
She is so sweet to Connor.  Sometimes if she is close to him when he gets upset, she will give a few pats with her hand and sometimes even gives him a hug.
She loves milk, cheerios, oatmeal, grilled cheese, chicken, french fries, mashed potatoes, bananas, and mac n cheese. She HATES veggies.
She also likes to climb the stairs but cannot figure out how to go down them. She want to walk straight down!
She LOVES cartoons. Some of her favorites are Chuggington, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Bubble Guppies, and Sophia the First. The girl will go and sit in her own chair when something she likes is on.

My favorite thing she is doing right now is when she sees me, she almost runs to me with her arms out and when I bend down she gives me a big hug and says "mmmm".  It helps get rid of any kind of bad day I might have been having.

These jeeps are still too big for them but they love just sitting in them and climbing all over them.

Watch out everyone!

Out to dinner and sick again!

My parents came to spend some time with C&C this weekend. I took the afternoon off on Friday and we met for lunch at Chick-fil-a. C&C loved seeing all of the other kids there and it just made me wish I was a stay at home mom like all the other moms that were there.

Connor playing with Papaw and his phone.
Me and Sis
Chloe being silly.

That night we went out to eat at a Japanese Steak house. I thought C&C might like the fire and show the cooks put on right in front of us. I was wrong, kind of.

Connor's eyes would get really big but I don't think it really upset him too much. Chloe would start to cry but got over it pretty quickly. They both LOVED the food though! I wasn't sure how much they would actually eat though so I had given them a snack before we went, some cheerios when we got there and a fruit and veggie pouch and they still ate a full meal after it was cooked!

Chloe got so full that eventually she just laid back like "I give up!" But of course she still had room for sherbert at the end!

Connor would have kept eating as long as we put something in front of him!

Connor started getting a little sick on Friday. He started with the barking cough and a little wheezing. But he was acting like he felt fine and I was just crossing my fingers that it wasn't the croup again. He woke up around 5:30 Saturday morning with his cough and wheezing worse so we took him to Urgent care and they gave him a steroid shot to help open up his airway. This is the third time he's had the croup and I HATE it! He was feeling much better by Saturday afternoon and is completely back to normal now.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This was Connor and Chloe a year ago:

They were less than a month old. It was also the first day that I got them out of the house by myself. We went to Target and to see David at work.

And here they are this morning:

We got Chloe a little stuffed puppy that she immediately started giving hugs to and we got Connor a stuffed lion and told him it said "ROAR!" and so he started growling. He loves to growl.

Connor and Chloe love bananas so it was only appropriate that their valentine's to their friends at day care were bananas.

Peek-a-boo

We have a pop up tent/tunnel/ball pit in the living room, along with a tub of toys for C&C to play with while I'm cooking dinner or for just any time we aren't up in the play room since they can't climb up and down the stairs by themselves just yet. They loved to go in the tent and sit there and wait for us to say "where's Chloe?" or "Where's Connor?" and then they pop their heads out and we say "There she/he is!" and they think it's hilarious.

Chloe gets the biggest kick out of it.
