Keeps getting better

Everyone told me that there will be this magical moment when the babies get to 3 months and everything will just get easier. Well, the babies turned 3 months almost 2 weeks ago and I didn't notice any kind of magical moment...until this weekend. I'm not saying something just snapped inside of them and they were completely different babies. But I did notice a little bit of a change. They've started staying up longer in between their feed/wake/sleep cycles and playing and laughing more. Connor is holding his head up better during tummy time.
I think this looks like he's saying "Hey sister, you do it like this..."
"Ta Da!"

Chloe is smiling a lot more and even fell asleep in my arms twice yesterday! This is a big change for my independent girl that just wants to be left alone in her crib to sleep all the time. And I'm very proud of her for being able to sleep on her own, but sometimes I just want to cuddle with her!
And if you're wondering, she's sitting inside 2 boppies stacked on top of each other. I know it looks a little weird, but she likes to sit straight up like a big girl and this works perfectly!
Connor took pretty good naps all weekend, which is a huge change! Yes, we had to rock him to sleep to get him to nap, but he didn't seem to fight it as much as usual. Yesterday morning, they took a 3 hour nap and fell asleep in the same position.
We sat outside while Daddy worked on the flowerbed and tried out some new binkies.
Chloe really only liked her's for about 5 minutes. She isn't a binky kind of girl.
But Connor loves his new binky...and I'm afraid I'm just creating a problem. I'm sure I'll kick myself when look back on this when he's 5 and still carrying around that binky!

We played on the floor together.
And we did a little talking...baby talking that is...

All in all, it turned out to be more of a fun weekend with the babies instead of a stressed out exhausting weekend like we've had in the past :)

Busy Weekend

We had a pretty busy weekend and I'm feeling the effects today! Saturday, we loaded the babies up and headed down the road an hour and a half to see GiGi and Papaw at the lake.

And if you're wondering why all of the pictures are of Connor...Chloe is usually taking a nap. She eats, plays for a few minutes and then starts to get sleepy and then fussy, so we put her down for a nap and she falls asleep. Connor refuses to nap and I'm now starting to think it's his way of getting all the attention for about an hour or so.

I love this picture of Chloe and Connor...They finally noticed each other!
They stared at each other for a long time!

And then Sunday we went to a fun birthday party for a friend's 2 year old. It was the babies' first birthday party to attend and I had planned on taking pictures of them in their cute outfits. But David and I both had a baby in our arms the entire time and the camera wasn't even taken out of the diaper bag. But we had so much fun seeing Bobby turn 2!

Just like Daddy

I took this picture of Connor last night...
Just kidding! That's not Connor...it's David! This is a picture of David when he was 3 months old and the resemblance is scary!
How funny is that?!

Ok, let's compare...

How cute is that?!  They even have the same double chin!

We tried to do the same thing with a picture of Chloe and me but we don't look alike like this.  She needs to gain a few more pounds to look like my chunky self.

3 months!

Connor and Chloe are 3 months old today!

I looked back at my post for when they turned 2 months and saw that I posted some about what they are "both" doing. But trying to figure that out for this post was a little harder because their personalities are coming out and they are really different babies. So the only thing to say about "both" of them is that they're eating the same amounts and I think they're recognizing that we're mom and dad. That's pretty much where the similarities end!

Connor, you're still my laid back cuddle bug, Momma's boy.

You get a big smile on your face when I pick you up from day care and you see me for the first time. It melts my heart because it makes me feel like you missed me all day and are happy to finally see me.

You hate naps and love watching tv (don't judge me!). You fight falling asleep and act like you don't want to miss anything.

You love to stick your tongue out and you think it's so funny when Daddy sticks his out too.

Chloe, You're my independent little sassy britches with a fiery temper.

You can sit up straight in the Bumbo and you try really hard to sit up on your own out of it. You also like to lock your legs when we hold you up like you want to stand all the time.

You're very good at taking naps and have a good routine. I think you're going to be like me and prefer schedules and planning.
You go to bed on your own and you love to fall asleep watching the lambs on your mobile.

You love to smile and stick your tongue out.
But you can go from this...

To this...

at any moment!
But that's ok...you're just a girl that knows what you want! I think you're going to end up paying me back for how I was as a little girl!

Here are some pictures I took of them this morning before they went to daycare...

Poor Connor has crazy hair and sleepy eyes. He's not a morning baby...

Sick baby

Chloe is not a cuddler...at all. But this is all she wants to do today...

That's how I know my poor baby is sick. She's congested and has a lot of gas. On top of all of that, I think she's going through her 3 month growth spurt.

As much as I love the cuddling, I hate that she feels bad :(

Momma's little flirt

This little boy kept smiling at me when we got home yesterday.
