Birthday Week!

We celebrated the twins' birthday all week long!

We took donuts to their friends at school on Tuesday.
We let them pick where we ate dinner that night. Chick Fil A of course...
We went to Marvel Universe Live on Thursday night.
And we finished off the week on Saturday with their big birthday party!
It was at a place called Spirit Xplosion and it's basically a gymnastics place that you rent out and they have large inflatables inside. The kids get to run around and just play.
Connor picked Batman for his theme and Chloe picked Disney Princess as her theme.  And it was very important that it was all the princesses and not just one.

4 years old!

Connor and Chloe are 4 years old today!

Connor:
He's a sweet, sensitive, funny boy that loves superheroes, trucks, dinosaurs, and sports.
He loves to learn and is always asking questions and trying to figure things out.
He never forgets anything and will tell us stories from last year all the time.
He loves wearing his costumes and puts one on every day. He also tells us which ones he doesn't have and that he needs them to complete his collection.
He is the typical oldest child and has the built-in need of having to take care of everyone and make sure everyone follows the rules.
He loves to sing "Beans Beans. The magical fruit." song and requests nightly dance parties before bed.
He is a very picky eater and likes things a particular way.
He is so sweet and tells me that he loves me randomly every day. He also likes to remind me that he's a good boy.
He is very smart and instead of taking a toy away from his brother or sister, he will "con" them out if by acting like he is sharing something else with them.
He loves playing soccer and swimming and he talks about wanting to do other sports all the time.
His favorite shows are Dinotrux, Handy Manny, Paw Patrol, Blaze, PJ Masks, and anything with superheroes in it.
His best friends at school are Asher, Remy, Betsey, and Chloe and they play "tigers" together daily.

Chloe:
Crazy Chloe. She is crazy. And so funny. She is quick with funny comebacks and answers and I'm amazed at what comes out of her mouth daily.
She is very girly and loves dresses, makeup, having her nails painted, and jewelry.
She is very particular about her hair though and usually just wants it in a ponytail for school every day. I think she does this because she thinks her curls are crazy and are all in her face.
She doesn't like to be left out of anything and would much rather have someone to play with instead of playing alone.
She is a mama bear with Cooper and acts like she is in charge of him. If he cries, she rushes to his side. If he is climbing on something, she tries to stop him by usually saying something like "No, no chubby baby."
She is so clumsy. She falls at least 10 times a day and has bruises all over her legs. And she is so hard on her pants and shoes and they usually all have holes in them or the beginning of holes. She is always running, jumping, leaping, skipping, hopping, or crawling all over the place.
David told her that he Indian name is "Running Toot" and it makes her so mad. Connor knows this and calls her Running Toot all the time. Then she will run to me and tell me that the boys are being mean to her. But it's true, she does toot when she runs.
She is a typical girl and is very emotional and full of drama.
She is so funny and easy going so much of the time though. She's usually just not a morning person.
Her best friends at school are Betsey, Connor, Asher, and Ramy and Carsen is her friend outside of school.
She loves everything on tv and would sit and watch it all day long if we let her.

They really are best buddies.
They do fight over things but it doesn't last long and they still stick right next to each other when they are playing.
He will play in her room with her girl toys with her and she will play in his room with his boy toys with him.
Every night, Chloe goes upstairs with Connor to help us tuck him and she gives him a hug and a kiss good night.
I try hard to do things with them individually so they get one on one attention, like just taking one to the store with me or having a special day with just one of them. But they really would rather do everything together and nothing could make me happier.

Snow

It snowed this past Saturday morning and we were so glad that we didn't have anywhere to be and we could just watch it come down. Chloe kept telling me how she wanted to build a snowman but we never got enough to actually do it.
Cold nights are perfect for sleeping bag pallets on the floor watching movies!
