Fun in the Sun

We're loving summer and spending as much time outside as we can.
Friday night, we swam, played outside, and helped daddy water the flowers.

We spent all day Saturday at the lake.
Connor and Chloe loved playing on our new water mat. Chloe would run and jump off of it over and over. Connor was nervous about doing it all day until Papaw told him he would pay him $1 if he would do it. He did it and realized how fun it was and did it over and over just like Chloe. I'm so glad he finally let go!

Sunday, we spent more time outside playing on the slip n slide and swimming some more.

Father's Day Weekend

We started our weekend with our first every family game night. We played a Paw Patrol board game.

Saturday morning, we got up and headed to the lake!
The boat didn't even leave the garage last year and I think it only made it out twice the year before, so I'm pretty sure the twins don't even remember ever riding in it.
They loved it. They told me "The lake is fun!"

Cooper did great too.  He didn't want to take a nap and miss anything but fell asleep as soon as we started riding.

Sunday morning, we got up and gave David his Father's Day gifts.

I put these pictures in a frame for him.
And the kids made him a foot print pot.
The big kids swam almost all day. They love swimming ever since we started our swimming lessons 2 weeks ago. They even swim under water now!
After dinner, the kids helped David plant a flower in his new flower pot.
Cooper was telling Daddy how to do it.
This big boy is walking all over the place now!
Then Cooper wandered over to visit Brutus.
He would open his mouth and stick out his tongue and pant like Brutus was. He thought it was hilarious.
Big brother is always taking care of him.

It was a great weekend filled with lots of family time. We're loving summer so far!

Family Pictures

We had family pictures done for Cooper's 1 year. These are a few of my favorites.

Getting family pictures made with three small children is hard! No one ever looks at the camera all at the same time and there is usually one that just refuses to participate. Connor was that child this time. He just was not having it. So I was thrilled when I got the pictures back and Carissa (who has done almost all of our family pictures) made all three look like perfect little angels. I love that she also includes the funny pictures. These made me laugh out loud when I saw them...
Chloe's face is priceless. She makes this face all the time and I think it's when she's being a little dramatic and wants someone to feel sorry for her. Doesn't she just look pitiful? Ha!
There is always a finger in a nose or in a mouth! Classic Dunaway kids!
Connor being crazy! I'm not sure what happened here.
It looks like I'm yelling in Cooper's ear! This would have been such a cute picture! But Cooper was trying with all of his might to get down and crawl into the street. He's 26 pounds and hard for me to fake control him and look at the camera!
But this is us. Not every picture is perfect, but I love them all!
