Chloe's first dance recital!

This weekend was Chloe's dance recital.  She has been going to dance class every Monday since September so this has been a big build up!

We spent 4 hours at rehearsal on Friday night.  It was a long night but the girls had fun waiting their turn for practice.  Connor, not so much...

The dance studio had a big sister/little sister program that we participated in and this was Chloe's Big Sister for the year, Kaiya. They exchanged gifts and gave each other good luck hugs.

The next day, we rushed around after soccer to get everyone to take a nap and then get ready for the recital. It was a big deal and she kept telling me how excited she was.

After we got all dressed, she let me take some pictures of her on the front porch.

The whole family ready to go support our girl!

She had 4 total dances to perform and she did SO good. She was so cute and kept looking for us and when she spotted us she would wave and then continue on with her dance.
Chloe is on the far left with her hair down.

After it was over, I went to find her and gave her a big bouquet of flowers. She said "Are those for me?!" It think it was the best part of her night. She was so proud of herself and just ate all of the attention up.
Chloe and her bestie Betsey on the red carpet. Their smiles say it all.

The whole family came to watch our little tiny dancer in her first performance. She made us all so proud!
She is obsessed with the flowers and wants to talk about them all the time. She requested that they stay in her room and she wants to take them with her everywhere we go.

The last Mini-Kickers session!

We had our last session of Mini-Kickers on Saturday. The twins had so much fun and the weather was perfect! At the end, they got their awards for completely the season and then they got to chase the coach with water balloons!
This is a big deal because this was the last season for them to play with the little kids! Next season is the real deal! On teams and playing real games!

Recital Pictures

Chloe had her recital pictures last week so she got to get all dolled up and wear her costume for the first time. She loved every minute of it and we are so excited for her recital next weekend!

Mother's Day Weekend 2016

We had a busy Mother's Day weekend with soccer, a birthday party, pool time, a movie, and just playing around the house.

On our way to a birthday party. They are so silly.

We had planned on spending the day in the pool for Mother's Day but it was cold and rainy, so we went to see a movie instead. We LOVED the Jungle Book!
Cooper actually sat still during the whole thing too! And the twins talked about the movie the whole rest of the day.

When we got home, Cooper went down for a nap and I spent a little bit of time with just Connor and Chloe.

It's hard to imagine my life before them. I know it was painful and I spent most of my time wondering if I would ever be a momma.
Life is SO much different now. I have no idea what I am doing most of the time and every day is something different!
They keep me on my toes, wear me out, make me cry, make me laugh, make me happy, complete me, and just give me a purpose in life. They are the hardest but best thing I have ever done.
It is an emotional roller coaster every day. I can't wait to see them in the morning then rush them out the door, then can't wait to pick them up from school, and then wish it was bedtime, but then miss them when they go to bed.
But I wouldn't trade the highs and lows for anything. They are all mine.

Catch Up!!

We have been so busy and I have been horrible about taking pictures and posting!! So let's play catch up!

What we've been up to:
We've been playing soccer every Saturday morning.

David has been working really hard on landscaping the backyard and getting everything cleaned up after it turned into a giant mud pit with the pool construction.
He's done such a great job with everything and the kids love to "help" (which really means they just like playing in the dirt and rocks).

We've been playing dress up, having friends over, and writing our names everywhere!

We've been spending a lot of time playing outside when it's not raining!

And on warm days, we've been swimming!
We love to swim and can't wait to spend every weekend in the pool!

Chloe and I went shopping for some sandals for her and we turned it into a girls day with shopping, Starbucks treats, and pedicures!
She was so funny shopping in Old Navy. She liked pretending she was one of the "people".

We've been getting ready for her very first dance recital and we're trying to find the perfect shade of lipstick.
