Random post about Chloe

Chloe takes me on such an emotional roller coaster every day!  She is the sweetest, funniest, smartest little girl with a big imagination.  But she is also the most frustrating part of my days lately.  She will be super sassy and throw a huge temper tantrum over a tiny little detail and then say something funny or sweet 5 minutes later.  I think she knows how to play me.

We had a few good days with her this weekend though.
Saturday, we went to a cousin's birthday party.  Every time I saw Chloe, she had a sucker or a cheese puff in her mouth.
She also went on a mission of trying to collect the most balloons as possible. I caught her climbing on chairs and even telling other adults to climb on the chairs to reach the balloons.

Her hair is crazy. We tell her all the time that she has crazy hair, especially in the mornings. So when I say, "Chloe, we need to fix your hair." She will say "yeah, it's a mess mess mess!". Or she will come tell me "Mommy, fix my crazy hair". Well, I attempted to wear my hair curly one day this weekend and when she saw me she said "Momma, your hair is crazy. You better fix it." I guess it's "crazy" because it was curly like hers.

I heard her talking to her pony (who's name is Pony, by the way), and she was shaking her head and saying "Good grief!"

Her and Connor try to tell each other what to do all the time and when we catch them we usually tell them not to boss each other and that it's our job to boss them. Well I caught her trying to tell Connor to turn around in his seat at the table and eat and I said "Chloe..." and she said "I not bossing him with my mouth!". I'm not sure what that meant.

She sleeps with the same "friends" every night and they all have to be tucked in perfectly before she can lay down. She then lays down and puts her hands behind her head to fall asleep. I usually find her in this position when I go in to check on her before I go to bed...
Her and her crazy hair!

Sitting up!

Cooper has been sitting up all weekend!
Yes, he is still semi-supported but not by much! And if he falls back on the boppy, he does a mini baby sit-up and goes right back to playing with his toys.

He is in such a hurry to grow up because he wants to play with Connor and Chloe so bad!

He refuses to lay down in the bath tub now.
I have to sit him up because if I lay him back, he arches his back and tries to wiggle out of the bath seat!

He kept me company while I packed up his stuff for our road trip to Alabama coming up.

And we took a few selfies before everyone else woke up on Sunday.

First Snow of the Season

This weekend was cold! And with a chance of snow, we planned nothing. We stayed in our jammies all weekend, finished the Christmas decorations, watched movies, turned the fireplace on, and played in the snow.

Connor had a little accident in his jammies on Sunday morning so I let him pick out another pair to wear and he found some new Christmas jammies in the bottom of his drawer (that I was saving until December). I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but we are all so excited for Christmas! It was all I could do to not change everyone into Christmas jammies after I saw him in his.

When it started snowing/sleeting, it was so small it was a little hard to see. The kids went from window to window trying to get the best view and they found it in Chloe's room.
When I look at this picture, I'm reminded of this one of them looking out the same window when they were about 9 months old...

After nap time, we bundled the twins up and went outside to play in the snow.
They loved it. David showed them how to make snowballs, they slide down their snow covered slide, watched Brutus in the snow, and of course threw snow up in the air like Elsa does with her ice in Frozen.

While they were playing outside, Cooper and I stayed inside and watched from the window.

My happy boy hanging with Daddy...

Random funny:
We're having a little problem with 2 kids that toot at the table and we're trying to teach them that it's not appropriated to do that at the table while we're eating (I have no idea if they know how to control that yet or not). So Chloe tooted and David said "Chloe was that you?" in a playful way and I told her to say "No, I don't toot. I'm a lady." And she ended up saying "No, I'm a lady bug." So now any time we say something about a toot or someone toots, she tells us how she doesn't toot because she's a "lady bug".

Running through the leaves

The other day, we decided to run through the leaves when we got home from school.

They mainly just wanted to throw them on me.

5 months!

Cooper is 5 months old today!

It was really hard to get a picture of him this month because his crazy brother and sister were in there jumping around and all he wanted to do was watch them.
He is a super happy baby unless he's hungry or tired, like any normal person is!

He loves his daddy and bubba and sissy but I have to declare that he is a Momma's boy! He has his eyes on me at all times.

He loves to eat. We're down to only 4 feedings a day but he's eating 8 ounces at each feeding along with cereal for breakfast and dinner. We're getting ready to start veggies and cereal for lunch too.
Yes, he is a chunk. He also just moved up to size 3 diapers.

He still has a clogged tear duct in his right eye and at our last well visit the doctor said that if it's not cleared up by the time he's 6 months old we'll have to visit an eye doctor and will possibly have to have a little procedure to unclog it.

I know he looks a little scared in this picture, but he LOVES his brother and sister. He watches them all the time and stops crying or fussing the second they come and talk to him.  You can tell he wants to just jump up and run around with them.
Connor is super sweet with him and is always holding his hand. He's also the one that sits next to Cooper in the car so he's my little helper when it comes to covering him up or finding his paci for him while I'm driving.  He even helps when we have to feed him a bottle on the go.

Chloe gets excited when she sees him and talks to him in a really high pitched baby voice. She carries his back pack in to school for him every morning and likes to help me give him baths and change his diaper.

He is such a lucky little boy to have so many people that adore him!

Santa 2014

Yes, it's only 1 week after Halloween but we got all dressed up and headed to the mall this past weekend for our annual meet and great with Santa Claus. We have to plan ahead and get it done early for a few reasons. 1)No lines and they take a bunch of pictures until we get one we're happy with. 2)We pretty much have something going on every weekend until Christmas which is only 6 weeks away anyway!

The kids have done great every year meeting Santa. I'm really surprised that we never did have that crying baby in Santa's lap picture.
Cooper is a different story though. He almost went there. The bottom lip was sticking out and quivering.

2014

Chloe told Santa that she wants a Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) for Christmas. And Santa told her that he was going to bring her some Tinkerbell Pajamas. Thanks a lot Santa.

And Connor told Santa he wanted a Ninja Turtle. Santa then asked him if he wanted a train for Christmas and Connor nodded yes. Thanks again big guy.

After we talked to Santa, we walked around the mall and rode the carousel.
Connor is always the driver and Chloe is always the passenger.

We also put the tree up this weekend. Again, no other time to do it!
I don't have everything up, just the tree.
We put it up while the kids were all napping on Sunday but I saved about 10 ornaments for them to help put on. They were so excited when they saw it. Connor told me that Santa brought the tree while they were sleeping. That little comment right there shows me how magical this Christmas is going to be. We're all so excited!

And Chloe told me that our tree has snowflakes on it like Frozen.  When will the Frozen obsession end?!?!

We've already been telling them that Santa is watching every time they start fighting or throwing a fit.
