Such a GOOD weekend!

We had such a good weekend. So good that I'm making 3 posts out of it! We took tons of pictures, and by "we" I mean David took some of me with the kids since I'm never in any pictures!

Friday night, we made cookies. Yes, they were the pre-cut kind but we still put them on the baking sheet together!
We watched cartoons while we waited for them to bake.
I can't get over him climbing on the couch to watch tv. And this is his spot that he chooses every time.
After dinner, we enjoyed our cookies!

Saturday morning, I caught Chloe lining her "babies" up on the stairs and then feeding each of them. She is really starting to pretend play a lot.
After all of the babies were fed, Chloe and I got dressed and went to our first Mommy and Me Dance class.
We had so much fun and we can't wait to go back! It was mainly doing some stretches to warm up, then running around the room following directions, doing different walks and hops across the room and then a few music games. It was basically 30 minutes of fun activities for little kids Chloe's age and a little older. There was 2 boys in the class too and boys are FREE! So I'm hoping Connor will get to come a few times too. But I really enjoyed my one on one time with my girl!

21 Months!

Connor and Chloe turned 21 months on Saturday!
We had a pretty busy day so I'm using our pictures from the pumpkin patch that day for their 21 month pictures. They aren't the greatest because the sun was so bright, but again, I'm not a professional so I really shouldn't care! I just want good pictures of my kids.

Connor:
We haven't been to the doctor lately (thank goodness!), so I don't know his weight.
He is wearing 24 month and some 2T clothing.
He is my sweet, soft spoken, little man.
He is obsessed with fleece blankets and carries them around everywhere.
He loves trucks, airplanes, motorcycles, tractors and boats.
He loves Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear.
He loves Mickey Mouse and gets excited when we talk about his Mickey Halloween costume.
He is a Daddy's boy and loves sitting in the recliner with him to watch tv. Last night Connor sat at the back door and watched David mow the yard for about an hour.
He has started being really sweet to his sister (not 100% of the time, but more than usual). He will bring her her favorite toys or blanket if he sees them laying around. When I ask for them to pose for a picture, he will go sit by her and put his arm around her. He watches her more and laughs at silly things she does.
He was handing her a pumpkin all on his own, without any instruction from us. He was very proud of himself too.
When we are around the house and he is right next to me, I will ask him "Where is your sister?" and he will softly yell, "Chloe!".
If we say "Hi Connor!" he will respond by saying "Hi Momma!" or "Hi Daddy!" in the sweetest little voice.

Chloe:
Wearing 12-18, 18-24 month clothes, just depends on what it is.
She is my silly, sweet, smart little girl.
She is turning very girly and loves her boots, babies, purses, bracelets, and bows.
Her favorite word is "no, no, no, no!"
David will ask her if she is a Daddy's girl and she responds by saying "Momma's!"
She is very proud of her new purple room and has done very good in there on her own.
She is always being silly and loves attention. If you say anything about Connor, she immediately says "And Chloe! And Chloe!"
I've caught her dancing to songs on tv a lot lately.
She loves Nemo and Toy Story.
She has also starting getting into the Disney Princess stuff like Cinderella and Tinkerbell.
She loves Minnie Mouse and Sofia the First. We can only wear our Sofia the First jammies on the weekends because it's a battle to get them off of her to put real clothes on.
If you say anything about Halloween she immediately starts saying "Minnie! Minnie!" because she knows she is going to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween.
If you say "Trick or Treat", she will say "Smell my feet". Daddy taught her that one.
She can count to 10! Here she is counting her pumpkins. She has to line them up to count them. And when we left, we asked her how many pumpkins there were and she told us there was 6 pumpkins at the pumpkin patch.
She loves having her picture taken, most of the time. She will go and pose for me and sometimes before I even ask her too. And she says "Cheese!" on command! She is definitely my daughter!

Just the 3 of us

The kids must have heard my whimpers cries for help because this weekend went a lot better than what I was previously complaining about in my last post. And thank goodness because I've been on my own with the kiddos since Friday. David has been out of town for work 7 of the past 9 days so it's just been me and the kids.
I wasn't sure what to plan because it takes a little more work to go places with just me and the kids but I also knew I wanted to keep them busy so we would have less time to throw fits and fight.

We went to two different parks, went shopping at Target, watched movies, played in the playroom, played outside, painted, and watched more movies. We had very few fights and even less temper tantrums. They played together so good and even shared a little. Connor even brought Chloe toys to play with and her blanket a few times. They held hands at the park and would slide down the slide together.
They are big enough to climb up the stairs to the slide on their own now so they just went over and over and all I had to do was stand at the end of the slide to make sure they didn't go too fast and slide right off. They went down the slide at least 30 times back to back and they laughed every single time.

Saturday morning, we just played around the house in our jammies. They found their pumpkins from last Halloween when I was cleaning out closets to move Chloe to her new room and they have played with them ever since. I call Chloe the bag lady because she walks around with 2 purses and both pumpkins. I told them I wanted to take some pictures of them and this is what I got.

Yesterday afternoon turned out really nice. So after our nap (and yes momma took a nap too!), we ate our snack outside and played and painted.
I had my hair in a ponytail and Chloe took notice and kept touching her hair to see if she had one too. So I gave her pigtails. She thought it was funny to have "two!" ponytails.
Proof that they were actually playing together!
His hair is a curly mess! I've trimmed it myself twice but I think it's getting out of control. Yes, this is right after nap but it's crazy hair! But I'm still torn on getting him a real haircut just yet.

This was a big deal for me. I would have usually been worried about the mess, but I didn't let that happen. I just handed over the paints and brushes and let them go to town. It did help that the paint is washable and came right off of everything, including their clothes.
They had a lot of fun painting pictures of Mickey and Minnie and they loved telling Daddy about it later on Facetime.
While we were Facetiming, I asked Connor and Chloe if they have had funny with momma while Daddy has been gone and they both nodded their heads yes!
I had so much fun with them and I'm so very thankful that they gave me a break this weekend so we could all just enjoy each other. I really needed it!
