We started our vacation off by going to the kids Christmas party at school last Tuesday.
We had treats and then a performance of Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Then the kids had a book exchange. Each child was supposed to bring either a girl or boy book wrapped. This was a disaster because each kid wanted the book that they brought. They knew what wrapping paper they had and got mad when another kid was supposed to open it. They weren't allowed to get their own. There were lots of tears. But everything eventually all worked out.

That night, we went to the Christmas Train. It was cold but we bundled up pretty good.
We headed straight to see Santa before the line got too long.
After a little train ride, we ate cinnamon rolls and cookies and headed off to see everything else.
We saw a puppet show...
Then it was time to wait in line for the train. The wait was about 20 minutes so we passed the time by taking pictures and eating snacks.
